guaranteed to all two-year honor students who
want them. Fellowships will be set up through
partnerships with irms, companies, nonproit
organizations, and/or government agencies.

NYLS CREATES NEW OFFiCE OF DiVERSiTY AND iNCLUSiON
In December 2013, Dean Anthony W. Crowell announced the newly created Ofice of
Diversity and Inclusion. Paula Edgar, the Law School’s irst Chief Diversity Oficer, is
developing a comprehensive diversity plan, which includes recruitment, retention, and
support programs, as well as strategies to aid student professional development and
intercultural competence. Ms. Edgar was recently selected as a recipient of Ms. JD’s
“Women of Inspiration” Award for her long-standing commitment to diversity in the
legal profession. She was previously Associate Director of Career Services at Seton Hall
