Patrick Curran was made a partner at Harris Beach PLLC in its health care practice in June 2015. Curran is a trial and appellate attorney.

Hon. Paul L. Meli was sworn in
as a judge of the Nassau County District Court in February 2015. Judge Meli, who was appointed by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, sits in the court’s 4th District, serving the residents of the City of Glen Cove and Town of Oyster Bay.
Richard M. Schapiro was elected as a new independent non-executive director at Molina Healthcare, Inc. in August 2015. Schapiro is a retired corporate and investment banker with
over 35 years of experience covering financial institutions and healthcare companies.

Priscilla C. Marco was elected Chair of Community Board 1
in Staten Island, New York, in March 2015. In her new post as the volunteer, unpaid chair of Community Board 1, she hopes to transform its sometimes-sleepy and not-well-attended monthly committee meetings into dynamic forums.
Lisa J. Savitt became the Chair of the American Bar Association Section of International Law in
August 2015. The Section is the international coverage in Billboard clearance, underwriting, and
international gateway for the ABA and has approximately 20,000 members.
Michael M. Walsh was named
by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to serve as a member of the CUNY Construction Fund
in June 2015. This is a public- benefit corporation through which facilities are provided for CUNY’s colleges and graduate institutions. He is a Staten Island attorney who concentrates in residential and commercial real estate matters and probate and estate planning.
1982 Steven A. Crain is General
Counsel to the Civil Service Employees Association in Albany, New York, a 300,000-member labor union representing employees of New York State, counties, towns, villages, school districts, and private sector employers.
Loretta K. Davis was appointed
the new Executive Director of The Retreat, a domestic violence services agency in East Hampton, New York, in February 2015. Prior to joining The Retreat, Davis was the Town Justice in Tuxedo, New York, for almost 20 years where she presided over civil and criminal matters.
Christine T. Lepera
was named “Litigator of the Week” by
American Lawyer
in October 2015 for her work
on the Jay Z
copyright case, which received
as well as in a number of other publications. She is a partner with Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP.
Amy F. Nogid became Counsel
at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, an international legal service provider, in its State and Local
Tax practice in July 2015. Prior to joining Sutherland, Nogid was Of Counsel at Morrison & Foerster LLP and served as the Assistant Chief in the Tax and Bankruptcy Division of the New York City Law Department.
Frank Sheehan had his seventh poetry book titled, Life Is Holy published by Liberator Press.
His poems have appeared in numerous journals, anthologies, and newspapers. His first poetry collection was published in 1997.

Marybeth Hotaling announced that her son, Jake Baumgarten, began attending New York Law School in the Fall 2015 semester.
Mitchell D. Kessler established the Law Office of Mitchell D. Kessler in Manhattan, in December 2014, practicing all phases of personal injury law.
Margaret L. Ling was hired
as Senior Counsel and Vice President by First Nationwide Title Agency in April 2015. Ling is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience in the title industry for agencies as well as major underwriters. As Senior Counsel and Vice President, her responsibilities include reading,
coordinating and overseeing the growing residential title department at First Nationwide Title.
Lee J. Plave was named by the London-based Who’s Who Legal as one of the Global 10 “Most Highly Regarded Individuals” among franchise lawyers worldwide in its publication The International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers.
Claire Rush and Lawton Squires were featured in “Diversity Initiative Honorees 2015” by the Defense Association of New York in March 2015.
Vincent Viola was listed in Forbes magazine’s “The Richest People in America 2014.”

E. Drew Britcher
was recognized by the American
Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys for his exceptional
performance and named him to
its “10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys for Client
Satisfaction” list for 2015. Britcher, who co-founded Britcher Leone, LLC, in Glen Rock, New Jersey, has also been named to “New Jersey Super Lawyers” for 2015 (he has been named to this list for the last 11 consecutive years).
