Preethi Sekharan was the recipient of the “Women of Distinction” award in the Business/Professional category held at the 25th Annual Soroptimist International of Stuart Gala in April 2015. This event recognizes women in Martin County, Florida who have made outstanding contributions to the community. She is an attorney at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. and works out of their Stuart and West Palm Beach offices.

was named a partner at
Zetlin & De Chiara LLP in July 2015.
She focuses her practice on
disputes involving construction, contract,
and environmental/energy laws, managing cases from inception
to trial. Nardiello represents design professionals, contractors and construction managers in both commercial litigation and transactional matters—winning dismissals, mitigating liability, and preserving reputations. She also negotiates contracts for high- profile construction projects.
appointed a trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation in June 2015. The Foundation is the philanthropic and educational arm of the New Jersey State Bar Association. It is dedicated to promoting law-related education and giving all New Jersey residents a basic understanding of the legal system.
Danielle Piccirillo Medaglia left Louis Vuitton as Senior Real Estate Counsel to start her own real estate law practice and career consulting businesses in 2014.

Christie A. Cunningham
became the Digital Editor and Media Manager for
New York Law School in September 2015. In this position she is responsible for maintaining the
School’s website and managing the School’s social media. She’s been with the Law School for 10 years in various positions.
2000
Joseph Cosentino joined the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP as shareholder
in June 2015. Cosentino has represented acquirers, targets, boards of directors, special committees, investment banks, and investors involved in the intricate negotiations surrounding
transactions.
Michael J. D’Angelo was promoted to Vice President, Labor Relations for Hyatt Hotels Corporation in December 2014. His responsibilities include all labor relations policy decision- making and administration for the Americas region of the company. Additionally, he was selected as Co-chair of the Labor Relations Council of the American Hotel and Lodging Association in September 2015.
Parul Desai was appointed
to serve as the Open Internet ombudsperson—the public’s primary point of contact—by the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau in June 2015. Desai serves as Assistant Bureau Chief and Director of Consumer Engagement in the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau.
Marie-France Gelot joined
the New York office of Lockton Companies in May 2015 as Senior Vice President, Insurance Claims Counsel with the Lockton Financial Services Group.
Gelot will work closely with Lockton’s financial institution and commercial clients on complex insurance claims and coverage issues in directors and officers liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, crime/fidelity, and fiduciary liability.
Jason M. Leifer was elected to the Office of Town Supervisor for the Town of Dryden, New York, in November 2015. He has served on the Dryden Town Council since January 1, 2008, and presently serves as the Deputy Town
in passing Dryden’s ban on hydrofracking that culminated in the landmark Court of Appeals case, Matter of Wallach, Trustee for Norse Energy v. Town of Dryden, which affirmed the right of home rule in New York and allowed municipalities to prevent fracking within their borders.
Thomas P. McDaid Jr. started as the new Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations for the North Merrick, New York School District in September 2015.

William J. Edwins joined the firm of Goldberg Segalla as Special Counsel in its Garden City, New York office in February 2015. Edwins is a member of the firm’s Global Insurance Services Practice Group and represents national and international insurance companies as well as Lloyd’s of London brokers and syndicates. He previously worked for several multi-national law firms before joining Goldberg Segalla.
Mellissa L. Longo was named Corporation Counsel to Mayor Dawn Zimmer and the City of Hoboken, New Jersey, in 2012. She is only the second female Corporation Counsel in the last 40 years for the City of Hoboken.
Lynne Machtemes was featured in NorthJersey.com profile, “Belleville’s Lynne Giachetti finds success in life after shortstop stardom,” in September 2015.
